Entry-Level Driver Training: Understanding the Passenger Endorsement

The Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) rule that went into effect on February 7, 2022, requires individuals to complete several steps prior to obtaining their initial passenger, school bus or hazardous materials endorsement or initial Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).

If your company trains drivers to obtain their passenger endorsement, you need to be sure you’ve updated your training to meet the ELDT requirements.
